The 18-year old Spaniard made his way through practice runs and clinched P7 and P5 in the two qualifying sessions. Starting from fifth in Race-1 on Saturday, he quickly gained two positions and then paced himself to third place, which also accounted for Best Rookie finish. Race-2, in which he started from seventh on the grid, proved a little more difficult. “The conditions between the two races were different. I managed a podium on the first one but in the early stages of the second race I struggled to find grip on a very cold track”. Eventually, David came away with eighth place and now ranks third in the point standings, having missed the first round at Monza. “I can’t wait to get to Magny-Cours next week”, he explains. “In France, we are going to experience very different conditions from the Nüburgring, and the track is quite different, too, with some quick corners and chicanes which resemble the Imola track. I am very confident that we can get a good result with MIM and JD Motorsport!”.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
