Imola, Italy, April 18th – After winning from pole position the opening round of the Eurocup F.Regional by Alpine at Imola, MIM driver David Vidales had to settle for seventh place in the second race of the weekend. Starting P5 did not help the #12 Prema Powerteam driver, who had had his flying lap ruined by an accident in front of him during Saturday’s qualifying session. Yet, Vidales once again managed to gain one position at start, only for being pushed off track by another driver shortly thereafter. David rejoined the track in 9th position and then took advantage of a collision between Alex Quinn and Dino Beganovic. His fastest lap in 1min39sec272 confirms that David had a strong pace, and he’s now running second in the series ahead of the next round on his home turf at Barcelona in two weeks.
More points and fastest lap for Vidales
